Overview.
My name is Phu T. Trieu. I made this website for Ms. Nguyen's Graphic Design class in the summer of '11. I'm an upcoming junior at La Quinta High School. I'm an average Asian guy: go to school, go home, do homework, study, go to sleep, and repeat. I'm on the Junior Varsity basketball team and I'm enrolled in the AVID program. I'm also a member of Boy's League, which is a club that's dedicated to helping the community and helps develop brotherhood and leadership. My hobbies include basketball, gaming, eating, and hanging out with my friends.
School Life.
I'm an average student with average grades, but I've been working to change that. Last semester, I got a 3.83 GPA and it has taught me that I can get good grades if I actually put in the time and effort. Finding the time, however, can be really difficult due to the fact that I'm on the school's basketball team and I'm also in Boy's League. Although these extracurricular activities take up time, they can also help me for when I'm applying for a college because it will make me look like a more well-rounded student. I also plan to take numerous AP classes during my junior and senior year so that I can raise my GPA. This, along with extracurricular activities, means that I'll most likely have to stay up late everyday and possibly even pull all-nighters, but I know that all of my hard work will pay off in the long run. In the future, I hope that I can balance school, extracurricular activities, and my outside life efficiently so I can make the most out of high school. I hope to go first to UC Riverside for 2 years and then transfer to UC Irvine to complete my education.
Outside Life.
Outside of school, I like to play basketball, games, and hang out with my friends. In my free time, I like to play as many games on my PS3 as possible because I don't have a lot of free time, but this gets boring after a while. If I do get bored, I can always go to the local park where I can play basketball. Basketball is one of the most important things to me, not because I want to pursue a career in sports, but because it's fun and it relieves stress. Not only do I love to play basketball, but I also like to watch NBA games. I also like to go to the movies with my friends at least once a month to catch up on all of the good movies. After we're done with the movies, we usually go out to eat a really big dinner to end off a good day. Every Sunday, I go play basketball with my uncle. Not only is it fun, I get a chance to bond with my uncle because I don't see him very often. I'm addicted to coffee, especiall Starbucks.
